2 1/2 pound ground beef

1/4 pound cooked bacon chopped to 1/2 inch pieces

1/4 cup very fine chopped onion

1 Tbsp garlic powder

1/2 Tbsp Lawry's salt

1 cup bread crumbs

2 eggs, beaten

4 Tsp Worchestershire sauce

 

Combine the all of the above in a bowl and mix well. Shape into a loaf and place in a baking pan. Add ketchup or the piquant sauce as seen on the picture at your right.  Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until the loaf is cooked through. Remove the loaf and let stand for at least 10 minutes. Drain off pan grease. Serve.

 

Piquant Sauce

 

1/2 cup ketchup

3 Tbsp dark brown sugar

1/4 tsp nutmeg

1 tsp dry mustard.

 

Mix all and top meatloaf.
